I have been a lifelong dog owner and animal lover with a particular love for Springer Spaniels. With a house full of pets and a horse, training is never far from my mind.
I was lucky enough to start my career as a Guide Dog Trainer in 2006 and haven’t looked back since. I currently work full time to deliver Technical Training within the charity but getting back to my roots teaching puppy classes with Sound Hounds is wonderful. Professionally, I have a particular interest in the science of learning, how dogs and people learn best, marker signals and positive reinforcement techniques – which are all directly relatable to pet dogs too. I love helping owners to understand their dogs better. Watching the puppy’s progressing is rewarding and so entertaining! Although with animals you never stop learning, I really enjoy sharing my knowledge through Sounds Hounds classes, which is focussed on starting puppy’s and their owner off in the best way possible.
